Sending and Receiving Karoo email on your mobile

We have recently been receiving many questions on how to setup mobile phones for Karoo email. Here are the basic settings needed in order to do this:

Mail Server Type: POP3
Incoming Mail Server: pop.karoo.co.uk
Username: Your Karoo mailbox name e.g. nodename@nodename.karoo.co.uk
Password: Your Karoo mailbox password
Sending Mail Server: As defined by your mobile operator e.g. on Orange this will be smtp.orange.net, while on O2 it will be smtp.o2.co.uk

Note: smtp.karoo.co.uk will ONLY accept connections from a Karoo IP address, so if your mobile is connected via 3G or GPRS, smtp.karoo.co.uk will refuse to send email.
