| JARGONBUSTER – WHAT IS ‘SPAM’? |

It is thought that the term ‘Spam’ probably comes from the famous Monthy Python ‘Spam’ sketch, where Spam (spiced ham) features heavily on a café menu. The word ‘Spam’ appears 86 times during the sketch, which could be why it is associated with the repetition involved in Spam email!
