Karoo website survey

ipodGive us your feedback and have the chance to win an Apple iPod Classic! Why? Because we want to provide a website that you want. So that means we need to regularly monitor what you think about it and as you know from the new Karoo website launch back in July, we really do listen to what you say. If you didn't get a chance to tell us what you thought then, don't miss out this time. Tell us what you think and have a direct impact to the changes we make in the future.

Go wireless with Karoo

laptopLast month we gave away 10 free wireless routers in celebration of Karoo Max 1st birthday, meaning that 10 more people can now enjoy all the benefits of wireless surfing with Karoo including:

  • Surf anywhere in your home and garden without the need for cumbersome wires and cables
  • Connect up to four devices to the internet all at the same time
  • Improved connection speeds with Karoo Max services
  • More reliable service and improved security

You can go wireless too, with our fantastic offer for all up-grading Karoo customers. Save £35 on a wireless router when you up-grade your Karoo package today!

But before you do, you need to make sure your PC or laptop is ready to accept a router!

We have put together some fantastic articles to help guide you to up-grading to Ethernet (wired and wireless routers), from checking to see if your PC or Laptop is capable of accepting a router, to configuring your wireless network securely.

Kingston Communications Community Grants Scheme

plantOur Community Grants scheme provides the opportunity for schools, clubs, charities and community groups to apply for monetary support. We will shortly be granting more wishes for worthwhile Hull and East Yorkshire projects by offering three grants of £500, £250 and £150. The grants scheme is designed to help smaller projects get off the ground and entries will be judged according to the benefits the project will deliver to the local community.

Schools, parish councils, sports clubs and other community groups are invited to apply for the grants, which will be handed out to the lucky winners in December 2007. The deadline for entry to apply for this latest round of grants is 7 December 2007.

KAROO joins forces with internet monitoring organisation to back Awareness Day

iwfAs a member of the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), Kingston Communications is working in partnership to reach out to internet users on the first national IWF Awareness Day taking place on 24 October 2007.

The national awareness day is focused on promoting the existence of the 'Hotline' operated by the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) so that all UK internet users know what to do if they accidentally stumble across online images of children being sexually abused.

Having problems receiving emails?
Firstly, you should check your Karoo anti-spam quarantine folder, as very occasionally, an email can get trapped in 'quarantine'. This is because the system is unsure whether the origin of the email is reliable or not and therefore traps the email for you to assign as 'spam' or 'not spam'. Instructions of how to access this area and what to do are here

There is also a website that you can use to determine the reputation of a sender.
